SOLVED Best way to remove/disable Google Analytics permanently

Posted 4 years 3 days ago
    • What is the best way to remove/disable Google Analytics permanently in Hydrogen free Gantry 5 theme? I do not want any third party trackers in my site. I've searched the forums and don't see a good answer to this. I'm not using any particles or atoms to enable Google Analytics but it still shows up as a tracker cookie, even when not used.

    • The only google analytics we add is via the google analytics atom. Therefore, you either have a third-party program adding this or have not cleared server and browser cache.

If this issue persists, Please would you post your URL, admin id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you. Also, screenshot where you are seeing this code.

      Regards, Mark.

Ahhh... Thanks so much. I checked the one custom html widget I got from TradingView.com and sure enough, the 3rd party google code is somewhere in it and the cookie disappears when the code is disabled.

Cheers from Houston! P.S. I see the tracking cookies to the left of the URL Address Bar (shield icon). Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox shows all the tracking cookies on each page.
