SOLVED custom.scss is not loading

Hey,
I created a scss folder in the custom folder.
In the scss folder I then placed the file custom.scss
To test I put this code in that file:
#g-mainbar { color: #fff; }
If all went well, all text of the articles in the main section should now be white.
But nothing happens at all.
Not even after refreshing the browser.
What should I do to get it working?
I am using Gantry 5.5.3 (Helium) and Joomla 4.0.4 - Best regards,

What makes you think the scss is not loading? did you look with an inspector tool? That CSS won't necessarily change the article text color if there is other more specific CSS setting that.
Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.
Please post your FTP logon, password and FTP URL in the secure area of your post.

Thanks for your reply.
You can find the credentials in the secure tab.
If I use the inspect tools of firefox or chrome, then I can, for example, adjust the font color.
But if I copy that code into the file custom.scss, the result is not visible on the website. - Best regards,

1. your scss had the # missing from the ID so I added it
2. I cleared cache in Gantry 5 admin under "extras" button
Now it works.

I will remember the tip to make use of emptying cache under Tools.
