Hello,
In Gantry 5.5.7 with Helium in the layout Outline > Page Settings > Font Awesome Settings There is 3 choices :- Font Awesome 4 (Legacy)
- Font Awesome 5 (Webfont/CSS)
- Font Awesome 5 (JVG/JS)
What are the differences? Witch one to use?
Is it possibile to use anyone and use in the website (article, modules...) the font awesome icon V5 fontawesome.com/v5.15/icons ?
Any thing to be aware ?
Ps :I Make all my setting in OUtline then I import them (Inheritance) in the default Layout that I assign to all my menu items

1. Fontawesome 5 has more icons and supports vector based too. But if you don't need them I'd stick with FA4.
2. Only change the Fontawesome settings once in the base outline > page settings. Don't try to add overrides for Fontawesome in other outlines to use a different version.
3. Some of the RT templates (and because of this Gantry 5 itself) need an update because the FA4 selection is hardcoded in the templates SCSS - therefore if you use FA5 some icons can disappear from the template content (another good reason to stick with FA4). "legacy" fa4 support is supposed to work - but it doesn't in all cases. There are bug tickets outstanding for this on the Gantry 5 opensource project.
