    SOLVED Question before buying

    • Hello,
      I wrote an email to you, I have not received a reply. So I am writing here on the forum, because I do not know if my earlier message reached you.

      I would like to buy a template from you or renew my subscription (I used to be a regular customer). However, before buying, I have a pretty important question.

      1. The big disadvantage for me for a long time was that gantry does not allow to create a mobile menu "Offcanvas", which will develop from the top, and at the same time cover part of the page. You can choose either the right side or the left side, which is not always attractive, because clinicians sometimes want the menu removed from the top.

      2. My question. If I renew my subscription, will I be able to change the default mobile menu from the template settings to the menu described in point 1?

      3. Maybe you know some sites where you can buy a part of the drop-down menu from the top? Only one that will be integrated into the main menu by default.

      Recently I downloaded a particle from the site, but it turned out that the particle is not integrated into the menu and you have to manually add menu items + links, which is pointless. I want such a menu that when placed, it changes the main menu and is visible on mobile devices.

    • The mobile menu in Gantry 5 appears on the right or the left - there is no top or bottom option.

      That said, I did develop a sticky panel particle for Gantry 5 that allow you to have a tab anywhere you like that opens a panel in which you can put anything you like (including a module which could be a menu). https://rockettheme.com/forum/free-particles/278632-stickypanel-particle-freebie-by-mrt .

      I still have a question about your templates.
      If I buy your template, is it already prepared for J4. For now, I don't want to use Joomla 4 yet, and I'm still working on Joomla 3, but if I want to switch to J4, don't I need to download the template again and update? Is the update from the configuration page in the back office sufficient?

    • No, your don't need to download the template again. The same template works with either J3 or J4. You can update at any point to J$. But you will need to uninstall any RT extensions (included with the rocketlauncher) i.e. (rokcandy, rokbooster and rokpad) as they don't work with J3 - but you most likely wouldn't be using them anyway.

      If at some point we do issue a bug fix release for the template then your DO have to download the "standalone" template again from our site and install it in extensions manager > install. You do not lose any of your existing configuration when doing that. Gantry 5 updates do appear in joomla updater.

      It's important what subscription you purchase too... If you buy a club membership then you can only download the template for the duration of your subscription. If you buy a "lifetime" subscription to a single template then you can download it for the rest of the template lifetime.

    • 1. NO - one life subscription gives you one site licence - so can only be used on one domain. But that domain can have as many pages as you like.

      2. You can't buy a time limited subscription for a single template? Club memberships are time limited, lifetime subscriptions are for lifetime of product for that single template.

    • Yes I did - please be patient - we try to answer most members within 48hrs but at busy times and weekends it may take longer.

      1. You asked about multiple pages - I answered that question.

      2. no. A subdomain or domain count as one site license each.

      3. Again I answered what you asked - it was a statement not a question. Read what you said... I just corrected you to show that what you said was incorrect.

      4. No idea what your mean by a "joomla standard" package - we only have "club membership" or "life time" subscriptions. The number of licences you get is clearly stated in the docs. https://rockettheme.com/docs/accounts_billing/site_licenses.md

      5. If you have 28 licences then you can use those on 28 separate domains. The template used could be different on every one or the same on every one. You just cant exceed the number of site licences that you have purchased. Also, we only provide support for the active membership that you have. So, if you only purchase a club membership you can only receive support for the duration of the subscription and will only be able to download updates for the duration of the subscription. A "lifetime" subscription means you get support and can download updates for the lifetime of the product.
