Yeah, I wasn't planning on upgrading PHP versions to I figure out what is causing the issue.
Got everything restored. All appears well.
Working on hosted sites is a bit different from running things on my own in house servers that I can touch.
As always, thanks for your help.
Will likely not be updating to version 4.x for a while - at least till I can figure out what caused the upgrade to fail.
