Gantry 5 - IE 9 and IE8 with Callisto Template

In the listing of supported web browsers for the Callisto template, it lists IE 10 and IE 9 partial. I assume this is because of the RTL default in Gantry 5. I did read that the RTL can be turned off in the template so I do not think that is a problem for us. Are there any other components, plugins, modules or programs in the Callisto template that would cause problems for IE 9 and IE 8?

We don't support IE8 at all and very limited support for IE9(it not just about RTL) - ideally you should be using IE10+ which is our minimum requirement.
