    SOLVED Gradient or background image for the whole page in Hydrogen

    Posted 8 years 5 months ago
    • Hi,

      I have to create several different appearances for the homepage on one site.

      To do so I have created several oulines. Right now I'm taking about outline-33.

      Is there a way to set a gradient or even a background image for everything. so that it goes from top to bottom?
      The only thing I could manage was to add a background image to a section.

      See here for the sample page:

      OLD LINK REMOVED

      Right now body has this css setting:

      body {
          background: transparent url("../../images/background.gif") repeat-x scroll 0% 0%;
      }

      But that doesn't do what I want.

      Best regards,
      Michael

    • Your background image is working but it is obscured by all the sections having a background color set and the page surround having a background color set - so you need to change them to transparent in the styles settings in your base outline.
