I have a number of Gantry 5 sites using the Hydrogen and Helium templates. The Template updates show up in the joomla maintenance section but the gantry updates do not show up. When I try to update the template I get a message that Gantry needs to be updated first. I have a number of sites that will make the manual updates quite time consuming. Is there any reason why this is happening?
Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.

Ok All the joomla installer plugins were missing from your site so this is what I did to resolve this.
1. extensions manager > discover - (which then showed the missing plugins) - ticked all and clicked "install".
2. Enabled those plugins in extensions manager > manage
Next, we had an issue in G5.3.6 through G5.3.9 where update would not show. So to get around this you do need to do a manual update of Gantry 5 on this occasion and thereafter it will be fine. So I did this...
3. installed Gantry 5.4.10 in extensions manager > install
Now you can go ahead and update the template and thereafter the Gantry 5 update will show.

Thanks for looking into this for me, a couple of questions. Is there a reason why the plugins were missing? I have just installed via normal installation process as far as I am aware. Does this mean that I will probably have to do a manual update for all of my sites where this is presenting?
I went to check on another site and I followed the steps above but no plugins displayed when I went to extension manager> discover, is this step necessary if I am going to have to manually update anyway?
I can only assume a previous Joomla version update failed - it was a joomla issue and components that were missing.
If you provide admin details I can look at another site for you. But, as I said, if the other sites are on G5.3.6 through G5.3.9 you're going to have to do a manual update anyway.
