    • Hi Rockettheme-team,

      I have a small problem with the lightcase atom in combination with JCE.

      I used to use JCE (image manager extended) with the Rokbox-plugin for easily creating thumbnails and opening the images in fullsize with Rokbox.

      Since Rokbox will probably die with Joomla4 and I'm doing a complete redesign of our website, I don't want to use Rokbox any longer (since chaginng hundreds of images later on is not such fun).

      For JCE right now there is a new plugin triggering the lightcase atom:

      The lightcase atom has one HUGE disadvantage: it does not show the popup image in real / full size, everything is much to small (in contrary Rokbox does this job great!).

      Here you can see it on a testwebsite:

      The first image is a normal lightcase popup, the second with "data-lc-options='{"maxWidth":1200, "maxHeight":900}'", the third a normal Rokbox image.

      Why does the lightcase atom not trigger the image size and opens it in full size? Lightcase as it is right now does not make much sense to me if the popup image is only slightly larger than the thumbnail.

      Can this be changed?

    • There's already an enhancement request for this on github... https://github.com/gantry/gantry5/issues/2182 - you can +1 that there.

    • So right now the only solution is to edit the lightcase.js manually (and which probably gets overriden with every Gantry 5 update ;-) )?

      Hasn't this problem come up much earlier?

      Also the way the caption is placed is much inferior to the old Rokbox popup. The image has to be shrinked in order to get the caption below the image.

      The caption being placed inside the image (as in Rokbox) would be much better (at least in my opinion).

    • Yup that the only solution. Yes it would be overwritten by gantry update. no it hasn't come up earlier. We're not the developer of lightcase.js - we're just using it so you would need to contact them if you need changes to it - although you might be able to change that with CSS instead.

    • So maybe the best solution would be to integrate some options in the lightcase atom in the backend?
      That way everyone could change the defaults easily (or maybe outsourced in a separate file).

    • It's a suggestion... Why not raise a github issue with that suggestion or add it to the other ticket I mentioned. It's core Gantry 5 that would have to change for that - not any RT templates or other particles.
