Does Joomla/Gantry5 have problems with operating in a subdirectory?

    • This may very well be a very silly question but people are turning bald in the office right now. We've moved a new website from our development environment to the live environment which resides in a subdirectory. All of a sudden we have many problems getting scripts and images right. Apparently the subdirectory is not seen and all relative URL's are broken.

      What are we missing here?

    • You can run a site in a Subdirectory without issue.

      1. Check your .htaccess file rewritebase
      2. Clear server cache.
      3. If you are using Akeeba Admin Tools did you set the correct site root?
      4. Check log and tmp paths are correct in Global configuration.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.

I trust this is a "notio" template as you only have a notio subscription for support?

      Regards, Mark.

    • Hi Mark,

To be honest it's about a custom template we've developed and it won't be fair to ask for this type of support from you. We were curious if there would be known issues with Joomla / G5 when moving it to a new subdirectory other than things we've already broken our heads on.

We'll continue troubleshooting and if the outcome is notable for others I'll be glad to post it here.

      Thanks for the quick reply's!

    • Ok no problem. Let us know the outcome.

Make sure all your link are root relative too and not full path urls.

      Regards, Mark.
