Add my old Joomla pages to new database?

Hello all...I have updated my site by creating a new database and copying all the old text into new articles in the new site. I have all the same content, unfortunately none of the pages are now indexed in Google. I had the top ranking in Google for a lot of pages and the links are still active in Google...however if you click a link it gives a 404 error. This was a big mistake on my part as my Adsense revenue has dwindled to a third of what it was each day.
I want to get all of those indexed pages back into play without erasing the new site.
Is there any way to get those links from Google to find their destination pages? Can I create static pages with the same URL (probably not)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
