    • I am trying to create a login box which redirects (or opens a new windows) to a non-joomla site. I have the script and html code which provide access and is currently in the login box on my non-joomla site ( www.exodus.tur.br ). How do I create a login box which works in joomla?

The new site I am creating is www.exodusviagens.com.br and the login box is called "Reserve". The code I have is ignored by joomla, and the box for username and password are removed.

I tried a module called mod_anything which creates the login and passwork boxes, but is the login is not accepted.

      Please help!!! ???

    • I think that is a little beyond the scope of a forum. You shoul look up how to do forms in PHP - just make sure the form points to a script that is part of your other site. That's all you'll need from the Joomla end. Then you'll need some way to authenticate. We have no way of knowing what your other site is like. You could use .htaccess and .htpassword or you could store the users in a DB like Joomla does.

    • Christian - Thanks for your input.

The script I included for authentication is 100%, and currently in us be 100's of corporate users. I seems like the authentication is being rejected, can this be because the login form is within joomla?

My existing php site has no trouble with authentication and I am using the same script and html.

Any additional suggestions are VERY much appreciated. This is the last piece of the puzzle I need to finalize to put my new site in place...

      Thanks

    • How are you inserting this login into Joomla!? If you have created a module/content/static content item, then perhaps your WYSIWYG editor is killing your HTML code?

    • Matthew,

I turned off the Wysiwig editor, and I was then able to create the login form in the left module area. The problem is that the login is not being accepted on the external site.

As a test, I hard coded (html) the login box in the header area and the login now works fine.... the problem is that my clients would prefer to have the login box in the left position. ( www.exodusviagens.com.br )

Thanks for your suggestions and I would appreciate any additional help.

      Gary
