not sure i understand, when smartload is loading the image it will show that loading thing and not an alt text. do you see an alt text instead? if so, do you have a link so we can see what you mean?

Yes I see an alt text instead of loading image which should be a blank.gif
Well, I figured this out and made a blank.gif, but now a blank.gif is huge, because it uses an image dimensions from the source.
I am using Gantry Framework Version: 3.2.8

really don't know to be honest, i have never seen an alt text myself there.
do you only see that in certain browsers or all?
do you see it only on your own site or on our demo sites too?
if it is only on your site, then you need to put the site on a live server, you can keep it offline and send us login details. then i can ask the devs to take a look.

Before the images loads I see alt text for a moment. I want to see my loading gif . I have made one as a blank.gif just like i it’s in the script, but it uses image dimensions from the source and makes it sometimes the loading gif huge.

the images on the frontpage load fine for me, really quick actually so i did not see any alt text.
is there a certain page where it is more obvious?
also, can you disable all cache and compression on your site?
i will ask the other moderators to take a look as well.

Hi guys, and thank you for helping me. I mean the alt – text before the image is loaded. I would like to use a loading image. I know that in the script command is to load a blank.gif before a whole image is loaded. Problem is, when I made my blank.gif, the blank.gif uses an image dimensions and that makes it huge and ugly.
Thank you again for you time and trying to help, I feel now that I should learn more about Gantry framework. I have been pretty lazy lately.
