Template Issue

  • Template Issue

    • I just started using a new template and after only changing the names of the items in the menu (and their alias'), every link on my site (which still looked identical to the demo site) either brought up all of the information without a templated background or stopped working. The only fully functioning element on my site currently is the home page. Does anyone have an idea how this happened?

    • Make sure it's configured properly:

      Basic Core SEF:

If joomla is in the root; htdocs, or public_html...

In Global Configurations, Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes, Use Apache mod_rewrite Yes, Add suffix to URLs No.

      Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

If it’s in a folder, you need to change the # RewriteBase / to reflect the path of your site.

      Change:

      # RewriteBase /

      to:

RewriteBase /(the name of the folder joomla is in)

If that doesn't work, search or post here:

      forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=544

If you are using a 3rd part component, contact the developer.
    • Thanks,
