Do you use Community Builder?

  • Do you use Community Builder?

    • Hi all!

Do you use CB? Why? Why not? Will there be any problem when joomla 1.5 is released?

      Thanks! ;)

    • I use community builder. The primary reason for me using it was the plugin that bridged it with phpbb, the first forum system i used with joomla as the Medhi bridge did not work for me.

Most of my sites are "community" driven gaming sites and CB just provides that added extra to the site and liven it up a bit.

I believe that CB is partly compatible with 1.5 but im sure in the release, you will see a 1.5 CB launched

    • I have installed Community Builder on a number of sites that I have developed. It allows additional fields to be included in registration forms for one part. Another site, is a community site and it allows for lists to be created.

CB will be 1.5 compliant, from looking through the developer's forum, they have already started development of 1.5 compliant version.

    • Thanks for the answers!

And your users registrate trought Joomla, SMF or CB?

On the other hand, what order should be the correct to install? 1: SMF 2: CB? Or 1:CB 2:SMF?

      Thanks!

That is configurable and is dependant on what you have installed. On my sites, everyone is registered through CB and i have disabled the Joomla registration. However, with the joomlahacks smf bridge, you have the option of all 3 in all manors of combosPablo Querol wrote:

I would personally install CB first and get the Joomla! site up and running then install SMF and its bridging components
