    • funny thing is they already contacted me, and I told them i was not interested. I don't want to ruin this great club atmosphere we've got going.

I can only begin to imagine the types of questions that would pop up on here.....

    • I see one inspired by the RT site, as well as ones partly inspired by VIII and Equinox. They've also ported them to Mambo. This is serious competition for any joomla template provider... if only because template monster are so well known and have a powerful referral system.

    • something to think about......

....this guy goes to the owner of ferrari and trys to tell him how to better the transmission....

......ferrari guys laughs and kicks him out.....
..........on way out guy tells him he is going to be his competion and build better cars.....

      ............that company is lamborgini.... :)

........moral of the story is always keep an open mind and don't insult someone.......
      ...........true story........

..............cause they may just build a business with a better product just to prove a point.......

    • Been browsing those templates a bit and checking out the things i can figure out of code/features (i even got 1 of'em templates). In my oppinnion the monster's don't even come close to "rocketwork" at all!

      - and the support they need to provide for it will by far exceed what hey now offer for basic designs. I think they just want to jump on the wagon and sell to those not knowing how much support a template might need. But of course i wish'em good luck.

And the more templates the better of course so let's see what the future brings over there.

I'll have my "headquarters" right here anyway ;)

Template monster just uses pics to make the template look full and vibrant. Take away the nice pics (which you will do anyway when you need to fill in your own content), and you'll find there isn't that much under the cover.

You hit the nail on the head there - I've purchased several templates from template monster in the past, and once you crack open the html files you'll see what you really have to deal with: tables and more tables. Also it's not worth buying one bloated template for $60 when you can join Rocket Theme and get high quality templates.

Also hello to everyone - just joined today after lurking around for 2 years!

    • Andy is in a unique position,

If one was in a unique position with ties to not only the best CMS developer AND at the same time the best Product Developer that services that best CMS,,, One could shore up ones position in a market that will only be filled with cheap knock offs soon,,,

      HOW ??? did one ask??

By creating a JOOMLA THEME DEVELOPERS CERTIFICATION SEAL OF APPROVAL

if Joomla created such a seal of approval,, and if a club constantly met that approval rating while other template clubs did not becasue of shoddy code...or whatever,,, one could see much of its competition slip away while at the same time a certificate level of " PRO" would allow one to possibly charge more???

I know I would do this... If I was in the position to do so :)
