Remove space at top and home button from top

Hi,
the site is countrycooks com.au if you look at this page it has a really large gap at the top and I really dont want that home button there either but I think it is the main menu and so is the default. Would anyone be able to help me with these last couple of things?
It is the Mynxx template.

- I have removed (or maybe moved is a better word) the home button that was up in the header. As it was default I just moved it to the Top menu (which is in the footer of the page) but it is not visible, but there is an invisible link there over in the right corner. This works but just wondering why it doesnt show up??
