Installation in subfolder moved to root domain

Hey Rockettheme Folks!!
Many moons ago I purchased a template and want to do a reinstallation however I dont want to erase the existing one as I want to copy all the information over.
So I have done an installation in another folder (mydomain.com/beta/) and want to update the website and then copy the entire site (not just the template) back to the root. Is this possible?
