    Organizing your site

Posted 14 years 8 months ago
    • Hi Guys,
i just would like to know how you get your site organized with tons of modules.
Thanks to k2 for creating and managing content in an easy way and thanks to RT for supporting this plugin in their plugins. Could not live without this combination!

So, im going to write some information about different cities, where each city is an article/item.
Now i would like to show to this item different modules, like "Whats on" "Latest photos" "Featured business" etc etc. You get the idea.

I need to create all modules again and again for each city or place i want to publish. Lets assume i have 10 different modules to display at each city, now you can imagine in how many modules this will result. As i dont want to publish each module as ie "LA - Whats on" "LA - Latest photos" "LA - Featured Business" cause this would expand the title for several places to much, i have to look for something different.

I wonder how you guys are doing this. If i leave the city name out of the module title, i have many modules with the same name and its hard to go through all of them to find the desired one.

Is it possible to group modules or something like this? So i make a module LA and there are all other modules nested.

Hope you see what i mean. Looking forward to your ideas.

      Cheers
      Nick

    • With this scenario, it sounds like, perhaps, you would have many editors?

Are there method of updating article for the less computer savvy? Better yet, some automated way for them to update content without worry of formatting?

Wonder about the interface aspects of managing large sites by lots of people.
