images in articles appearing small?

  • images in articles appearing small?

    • I am embedding images in articles using JCE editor, and I am having a problem with the images appearing much smaller than I want them to be. I noticed that when I click away from the page that they are on, and then back again, they appear their actual (and desired) size. This has happened on my last two websites (which use the Omnicron and Zephyr templates). I don't know if this is an issue with the joomla core, or with the template. What is causing this?

    • Hi Everet,

The issue is with the Smart Load feature for images. Make sure that when you embed an image using JCE that both width and height are assigned in the html. Also, that they are on your server.

That normally takes care of it.

      Cheers,

      Rich

    • Thanks I added the height and width, but now they are appearing the proper height, but still small in width, so they look squeazed. Same as before, I click away from page, then back, and they appear normal. Why has this just begun recently? I have been using joomla for 2 years and never saw this before.

    • Ok I think I have it now. For some reason joomla erased the width I put in, but kept the height. Now I got them both to stay.
