Best Template for Family Website

Dear Rocket Themers:
I am new to web design, and I have chosen Joomla as a starting point to create my personal website. I would like to have inputs about which templates I should choose. There are so many templates available I don't know where to start. Specifically, the website I would like to make is my marriage website, and also my "mother & child": website as a birthday gift for my wife, as we have just had our first child. I would like to dedicate these sites for her and our child. As you might expect, the websites will not be very complex. It would contain an "About Us", a blog section, etc. What I need is simply easily customizable background or headers, so I could put my family photos as the header or background, in addition to image galleries or slideshows.
Any recommendation which template I should start with? Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

I am fond of Crystalline it the demo version has a great customized Roktabs module for displaying a few images with a brief description, several nice preset color & overlay styles and the built in color chooser make customization SUPER EASY!

I like it very much. I think it looks really cool. Problem is I don't know how to transform my website into it. Is there any documentation that can teach me how to make a site like the demosite? I mean, how do we make each component of the demo? Or can I achieve something like the demo site using the RocketLauncher?

You can use the rocket launcher of any template if you do not currently have the core Joomla component already installed. The rocket launcher version give you a duplicate of the demo site (the pics are replaced with blank pics) but if you already have Joomla installed you cannot use the rocket launcher. You would have to uninstall/delete the entire site and create a new MySQL DB for the launcher.
