UPgrading Joomla with à Rockettheme template

Hi
This is the first time I have to upgrade Joomla (1.5.15 => 1.5.20)
So, I'm using a Rocketheme template (nexus). I don't want to loose all the work yet done.
So do I have to follow the instructions given by Joomla team?

1. Backup with Akeeba Backup.
2. Upgrade Joomla the normal way.
3. Check if there are any template/menu/Gantry updates etc.
4. If you have done any "hacks" you may need to redo them. View the changelog of the template/plugin to see what was updated. You can also do a file comparison
