I am looking for a media player for joomla that opens as a separate and customizable window. Here is an example that I am speaking about....it can be a pro extension...

This may not be the answer you're looking for, but I always try to use the minimal number of extensions and also try to keep the site looking as uniform as possible. For this reason, I love Rokbox as a solution to nearly everything popup.
You could make your own "video.html" page that has the video code in it and styled the way you want and then just link it in your Joomla site using RokBox just like you would any other webpage. This would give a styled popup while still having it in a smooth rokbox ... well, box.
Just an idea and it can work if you're talking about a few videos. If you're talking about many, this is probably not a good solution.

Thanks Ben, in this scenario I'm looking at an ever growing list of videos and audio files....it's a ministry solution so it's each week one new video and audio message that would be added. I think you make a good point though and you have me thinking.....
