Sorry, didn't mean to hijack... If a mod wants to split this, that'd be kewl!

You hit on the problem in your review of MyBlog. There is not a complete solution for blogging in Joomla. Lots of pieces, and when someone gets the wild hair and decides to try and do it, they do it in an overpriced commercial solution. Blogging is about open thoughts and open source.
Like I said. No good, complete solution for blogging in Joomla.

Have to agree, hope Olle developer of mamblog releases a new version with most if not all bugs fixed or RocketWerx comes out with a superb blogging component (Andy we are open to give suggestions). - VirtueShop

I dunno...why do you need a separate blogging component? What would that achieve? I am more than happy with the versatility Joomla brings to my blog.... shameless plug coming up:

. If you want something good to go out of the box, go to Blogger. If you want to fiddle with your content, Joomla may be overkill, but it can be simplified.
