Global Article Parameters Not Working

Hi everyone,
I am using Crystalline for a website and the global article parameters are not working on the front-page article [edit]. Changes that I make on the settings don't take effect on the front end. For example, I click on don't show author name and the author still shows. Here's what I have done to troubleshoot:
- I tested the function by overriding the setting on one article. It works there. If I select don't show author name on the article parameters, it doesn't show.
- I tried resetting the functions in global parameters that I want to change (don't show author name, date time created, last modified) first all to yes, then all back to no. It doesn't change anything on the front end.
- I thought the problem might have something to do with permissions so I checked system info. All directories show as writable. Still, I went in via FTP and chmod everything to 755. Nothing changes.
- I read a post on a RT blog about Gantry settings that suggested to save the template settings as a means to clear the cache. I did that but it didn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Yes I did. If I set it to Use Global it doesn't get affected by the Global Parameters settings. It's only when I create settings in the article itself to override the Global Parameters.

So I created a NEW test article while Globals on Article, Menu and Global were all set to OFF for Author Name, Created and Modified Date. Included the article in a Category Blog Layout.
So with Globals OFF:

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your replies. I have done many RT Joomla installs. I am familiar with the global parameters box and how it works. I am also familiar with article overrides. In addition, this is my second Crystalline install, the first one worked fine. That is why I troubleshooted before posting a request for support. My settings indeed look like yours above.
I'll be glad to create a user for you to look at the CP and double check to make sure I'm not missing something. Let me know and I'll PM it to you.

That was it! The parameters in the Home menu item were not set to Use Global. I had installed the demo content when I first created the site and it probably set it up that way by default.
