Using Club Extensions on Free RT templates?

Posted 14 years 6 months ago
    • Hi RT,

I'm entitled to use 3 instances with my subscription, but intend to use all three templates for my own websites.
If I use a free RT template for a friend's website, am I allowed to use some of the Club Extensions on a free RT template?
      Regards
      Tom

    • Hi again,

According to what I read in the Club Details, it looks like I have unlimited use of extensions during my TEMPLATE membership period, but I just wanted to confirm.

Maybe it was a stupid question in the first place....hmmm

    • I think the RT club extensions are classed as an intitlement.
So you can have (for example)
      2 X RT Templates + 1 Club Extension + 1 free RT template.

      But you cant have:
      3 RT templates + 1 Club ext + 1 Free RT template
As this would be 4 entitlements.

    • hi there,

entitlements for joomla and extensions are handled separately.

if you join the joomla club, then the entitlements you have refer to the CLUB templates (the ones that are only available to club members and not free).

free templates like afterburner are gpl, you can use them on as many sites as you like, they wont be counted towards your entitlements.

for the extensions there are unlimited entitlements, that means you can use them on as many sites as you like and it does not matter if that site is using a rockettheme club template, a free rockettheme template or a template from another provider.

      hope this helps, kat :)

    • So bottom line is that if your a joomla member then extensions are NOT part of your entitlements and can be used unlimited :cheesy:
