    RT Templates and Joomla 1.6

    • Hello,

      i would like to ask what the plan is going to be with Joomla 1.6 Update.
      Will all Templates be updated for 1.6 or just a few of the newest?
      Is it that difficult to Update a template?

    • It is a major change to update for 1.6. Luckily we have taken some steps to ease this process like using Gantry for the past year, and also porting our templates to work with Mootools 1.2 (only option in Joomla 1.6). The plan is to get Gantry ported to 1.6, and then we can pretty quickly release all our gantry-powered templates in a 1.6 compatible format. Then we'll make our way through the pre-gantry templates converting one at a time. From our testing it takes approximately 1-2 weeks of development time + testing to convert a single template from 1.5 to 1.6 so it will take some time to get our entire portfolio of 100+ templates converted.

      And what is if we made a lot of changes to the templates? Like in Zephyr for example?
