    • Same template, same version?

If you do a clean install with joomla, apply the template and install the extensions, you could simply copy your template.css file(s) from the old site to the new one. Then you could moved your pictures and content from the old site to the new one. But you wouldn’t want to do so if your old site was for example template version 1.5.0 the clean install was 1.5.4.

In which case you would want to upgrade the template first.

What I would suggest is work on the new site off line on localhost or a subfolder of your site, move all your content and then when you are done, replace the old site with the new one.

We use Akeeba to do this:

Also, keep in mind that you should never use a Rocket Launcher install without the sample data.

So if you want to start with a fresh install without the sample data, use a stock install of Joomla, no sample data, apply the template and install then the extensions.
