I tried tunring off the JCE "Clean Up Code" option before with no help but the work around is a good idea. I will try it. I just thought there was some hack that changed this. You can have single quotes in other part of a content item just not javascript. Just doing a simple popup. There is probable a better option.
Thanks a bunch.
Apologies if this is redundant - you can disable the WYSIWYG Editor two ways:
1) Log in the admin backend, choose Site/ User Manager.
In the User Manager screen click on the username that you desire to edit.
In the User Edit screen and in the Parameters area choose No WYSIWYG Editor.
Click Save.
2) Log in the admin backend, choose Site/ Global Configuration.
On the first tab (Site) you may choose the Default WYSIWYG Editor.
Option 1) is on a user level, option 2 is on a global level - ALL users will be affected.
Fyi, anytime that I use code in modules I disable the WYSIWYG editor.
Cheers!

Also I should note that opening module for editing that has code in it with the WYSIWG editor enabled may trash your code - of course as long as you choose Cancel to back out of the module edit screen and not Apply or Save no changes will be made.
