    My site doesn't work!!!

    • Hi guys!

I decided to write my problem here after reading and searching for info regarding my problem with no luck.
The problem is basically that I get a "This site is temporarily unavailable. Please notify the System Administrator 2" message when trying to log into the frontpage and the backend as well. I've checked my configuration.php file and everything seems to be in order. Now I'm really lost and I don't know what to do, there's no concrete info about solving this database's problems. Can anyone help?? :-[

    • I think the 2 message measns a database problem. so could be bad username or password, or bad db name, or just the data in the db is not correct, or the permissions for your user is not correct, could be almost anything.

    • Can you log in to the admin backend? www.yoursite.com/administrator

Do you have backups of your database, etc?

    • I cannot log into the back end and all this problem began when restoring a database backup. The thing is that after restoring my database and important files of my site the site was online and had no problems at all, I reinstalled some plugins, mambots and modules and everything was fine till I accessed the .htaccess file of my site to fix a redirection problem.... maybe this is important so I'll tell you about this:

My joomla site is installled on a subfolder so before my problem the url looked like "spanishclass.ru/joomla/index.php"
I had a redirection created on Cpanel pointing from "spanisclass.ru" to the above mentioned url and everything was fine. Strangely after restoring the backup and my site, when accessing to "spanishclass.ru" a never ending loop took place so the url looked something like "spanishclass.ru/joomla/index.phpspanishclass.ru/joomla/index.phpspanishclass.ru/joomla/index.phpspanishclass.ru/joomla/index.phpspanishclass.ru/joomla/index.phpspanishclass.ru.."
the only way to access my site was pointing the browser straight into the full url ".../joomla/index.php"

I tried to fix this problem by deleting the redirection...nothing...changing the redirection and nothing...changing the .htaccess file and doing other things and then is when everything messed up and now I can't see my site :-\
