    remote host or local host?

    • Hi there, thank you for beign so kind with me with your help. Just a little more suggestion: do you usually suggest to work on Joomla directly on the server or it my be usefull to work on local host an then put the material on via via FTP?

    • Generally speaking it's suggested that you don't work on a live site, one that is accessible and being accessed on regular basis.

      I.e., if you install some component and the site goes haywire, you can be in a bit of pinch.

      That said, it really doesn't matter where you work on your site, localhost or remote host in a sub folder of your root (not for public access) until the site is ready to go live.

      To move sites around from localhost or subfolders to live sites, we use Akeeba.
