SOLVED logo editing without fireworks?

My trial version of fireworks has run out.
I have just downloaded the trial version of photoshop extended.
Is there another way to edit the logos? I'm working on the Juxta template. Perhaps changing something to tell the 'system' to look for a jpeg instead of a png will do the trick?

Fireworks is NOT necessary to edit the logo if you want to create your own.
Without editing the path, it just needs to be saved as a .png vs. a jpg, which you can do with most any image editing program... (If you don't have one, GIMP is free)
