    • Hey all,

      Iv'e searched google for some time now and i'm running out of ideas.

      I have changed the meta tages in the global cofig, checked the index.php in the root and template folder and i've also changed the head.php in public_html/libraries/joomla/document/html/renderer to $strHtml .= $tab.'<meta name="generator" content="Rent Armenia - Your first choice for Armenian Holidays." />'.$lnEnd;

      But i am still getting the "Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system." on google and tagging in facebook/twitter.

      does anyone know hwy this could be?

      my website is : www.rentarmenia.com

      Thanks,

      Dan

    • Hi Dan,

      The meta tags are appearing fine. It looks like Google is just taking time to crawl and refresh existing listings for that domain.

      Hope this helps 8)

      Patience in the World of Google is always required :)

      Just a suggestion to make sure there is no complexity later on. Don't update Core Files.

      You'd be better off editing settings and disabling others through updating Joomla with components and plugin's to make your life easier.

      1. Within the Global Config, turn off Metadata Settings.
      2. Install your prefered solution for Search Engine Friendly URLs (for me, SH404SEF)
      3. Look around http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management to see if there is something there that best suite a number of your needs so you don't have to install too many extra plugin's or components. Specifically SEO & Metadata and SEF.
      4. From there, content, content and more content.
