2nd database possible? - SOLVED
Posted 17 years 11 months ago
Hi,
Is it possible to connect to a 2nd (custom) database without losing connection to the jos database?
I want to make a module which uses another database, but it seems to interfere with the connection to the jos database, resulting in errors.
Regards,
Erik

Ok, I solved it by selecting the custom db at the beginning of de module and at the end of the module the jos db is selected again.
This seems to solve the problem. Is it also the best way?

If you're lucky phlux0r might pay this thread a visit. For my part, I couldn't tell a db from a bottle o beer.
Is this a module that you see many people having a use for or is it a one off mod just for the site you're currently building?
Say
no
to Internet Explorer 6.

I do not think so... but you never know.
It is a very site specific and Volleybal team specific module...

It is possible, but my current experiences also tell me it is not wise to do so...
