SOLVED Page expanding beyond 960px - how to stop this?

  • SOLVED Page expanding beyond 960px - how to stop this?

    • My test site, www.witf.info , is doing something very strange. It is expanding the content past the 960px range it appears.

If you look at the right sidebar, most of the ads are 300px wide but they are expanding beyond the body page size. If I were to change the background color, you would see these ads are probably expanding into that area by 20 percent. You can also see they are expanding beyond the menu structure.

Anyone know why this is happening and why the sidebar (that's sidebar a) isn't pushing the main body areas smaller?

This is happening on individual article pages too, not just the main page (ex: www.witf.info/smart-talk/president-obama-s-report-card ).

    • you have the mainbody set to mb12 sa4 setting.

sa4 means it is 220px wide. So it's only logical that modules with a width of 300px hang out of the 220px wide sidebar.

    • Thank you for the explanation (you're my hero this week!). Is there any easy way for me to figure out how to change this so it'll fit nicely?

I'm new to the template system so while I understand how to change positioning I'm not sure how it's sized like you so kindly explained.
