Newbie Joomla! question

    • Hey all! First I just wanted to say how happy I am to be a member here. Your templates and modules are top-notch. :)

I'm currently working on my third Joomla! site and I am running into this silly problem that I can't seem to fix. On the page martinilutheran.org/index.php?option=com...blog&id=65&Itemid=85 right now there are two articles. Although they are rendering the same width and whatnot, only one generates a 'Read More...' link. I have tried everything I can think of to add a read more link to the second into article so they look uniform, but I haven't had any luck. I also have the AutoReadMore plugin but it still won't render one for the second article. I know it seems silly, but I really would like them to look the same.

      Thanks so much!

    • Take a look at the article that does not have the read more link in HTML and see if any code was inserted that should not be there. I had this happen once after copying from Microsoft Word.

Okay, I tried to go and do that and found a new problem. I am able to hit the small 'html' button on TinyMCE and look at the source but it's very difficult to see. I think there used to be a button underneath the edit window that would render the code in color-codes and so forth, but it's not there anymore.

    • Hi George,

I do not see any MSO (MS Word) code in that article. If you like, you can PM me super admin and FTP login info. I will be happy to take a look.

    • Hi George,

Thanks for the login info. First thing to do is make sure your Joomla core component it up to date. You are currently well behind the latest Joomla 1.5 release (currently it is 1.5.22)

Also make sure all of your components and extensions are up to date. Please reply when this has been done.
