Joomla phpbb menu integration issue!

Hi, I’ve read through the forum and googled for the last 3 hours and can’t find an answer to this problem. Apologies in advance if it is easy – I am a joomla / phpbb newbie.
I’ve set up my joomla site and phpbb forum and added the joomla sites menu into the forum using roknav export – no problems.
However, I obviously want a link to the forum in the main joomla menu, so I added a new menu item called "forum" and set it up as an external link. It works in that it takes me to the forum.
What is annoying me, is that when i click on "forum" and it takes me there, the highlighted menu switches back to "home" rather than staying on "forum"! I have seen that on other sites that have joomla / phpbb up it works as I want it to.
Any ideas on how I can do this. Here is a link to a site that works as I want mine too.

Check the phpbb3 FAQ, it has the information, go to ROKNAVMENU REQUIREMENTS in the FAQ, check number 5, the answer is there.
