    • hi,
      im using jomsocial 205. and have a tried a number of your templates. I'm trying to remove the advanced search from the main pages of jomsocial. I have tried disabling search modules but that doesn't work. I have tried moving the search to the right in the module, but its still in that same position. so, now i just want to delete the search from the pages. i've read here where it's been said to edit the template files but when I open the templates.css files that you mention I don't even see any of the information you've said would be there. the advanced search seems to be some sort of joomla hard coded thing, but at the same time your templates are using it. i've searched all over the web and no one seems to have a valid answer for this. it would seem to me that just disabling a module or working with a mod should solve the issue but I guess no programmers thought about this or either i'm so new to joomla im missing something.

    • no the advanced search on the main page. like what you see in your joomla template demos. ive disabled all search modules but that advanced search box is still there. i checked numerous forums and no one seems to have given a solution that can help me.

    • OK in the default template folder for jomsocial open up the following file:-


      frontpage.index.php

      On around line 41 you see the start of the search box code.
