    • Hi Forum,

I am in the process of trying to install Mercado to my site ( www.steadyrocksolid.com ). The homepage loads correctly the first time. However if I click on any of the links, the browser loads a page with the following address...

      www.steadyrocksolid.com/index.php/the-work.html

...which results in a basic HTML page... Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

      Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
      Jason

    • Either turn off SEF, or make sure it's configured properly....

      Basic Core SEF:

If joomla is in the root; htdocs, or public_html...

In Global Configurations, Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes, Use Apache mod_rewrite Yes, Add suffix to URLs No.

      Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

If it’s in a folder, you need to change the # RewriteBase / to reflect the path of your site.

      Change:

      # RewriteBase /

      to:

RewriteBase /(the name of the folder joomla is in)

If that doesn't work, search or post here:

      forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=544

If you are using a 3rd part component, contact the developer.
    • Thanks,

I tried the first suggestion of changing the global configs and the htaaccess file with no luck. where can i find the rewrite file to try that?

      much thanks.

    • The # RewriteBase / is in the .htaccess file.

Viewing you site, it looks like you still have 'Add suffix to URLs' set you 'Yes'
