Customizing main content area...

  • Customizing main content area...

Posted 17 years 11 months ago
    • Is there a way to customize the way the articles appear on the page. I don't mean the layout of all the articles. I mean the layou of each entry on the page. For instance, putting the byline, the category, and the created date on one line so as to streamline the look of the content listing...

Thanks in advance! Joining this community has to be one of the best things I have ever done as far as web dev goes.

    • Im not quite sure what I mean
But in global config you can turn off things like author creation date etc
And also in parameters for each item if you want to override global settings
You can also set number of columns + articles from frontpage by clicking on the link that you have to the frontpage, and then looking at the paramaters - its self explanitory

      :D

    • Thanks for the respons but I am talking about the actual order such as an article on the Frontpage looks like this right now

      TITLE

      CATEGORY
      WRITTEN BY STU THE SHOE
      CREATED ON 04-05-06

BLAH BLAH BLAH OSCAR THE GROUCH HIT BY A BUS BLAH BLAH BLAH COPS SAY HE REALLY GOT CANNED

I want to move the variables around so it reads like this:

      TITLE
CATEGORY - WRITTEN BY STU THE SHOE - PUBLISHED ON 04-05-06

BLAH BLAH BLAH OSCAR THE GROUCH HIT BY A BUS BLAH BLAH BLAH COPS SAY HE REALLY GOT CANNED
