    How to search for "1.6"

Posted 14 years 5 days ago
    • I had an issue that was specific to Joomla 1.6 installation: "How to edit index.php and css files on back-end"

Even though these all are the common words, but "1.6" was ignored whatsoever. www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?st=0...+files+on+Joomla+1.6

I figured that out with help of Google.

How to search the RT forum when Joomla 1.5 or 1.6 are mandatory in the request?

    • You have more options here: www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?rb_v=search

I agree that the search function in phpBB3 could be better though.

    • Unfortunately, I tried that one too.
I couldn't make "1.6" to be in the search terms either

    • Hmm yeah it doesn't "take it"..

I tried both with "something here" and 'something here' and it doesn't show what it should show, heh.

Not much we can do about it besides adding some Google custom search module.

    • I think, some tweaking to phpBB that won't strip terms like "1.5" or "1.6" from the search query would be enough. These terms are heavily used in the posts.
Maybe there is mod that will enforce phpBB to include the numbers in the search?
