    • If you have made any alterations to the template files, they will be rewritten, but any Joomla! stuff will remain the same

    • I had a similar problem with one of my sites. For some reason, I had to make a full copy to another directory and it worked (same database)

      That may help

      How would I do that?

    • The way I did was this (probably not the best but it worked) - Also, no guarantees.

FTP the entire install to my PC, FTP it back to a differnent directory, i.e. test2 and change the configuration.php to match

I'll give that a try and see what happens - how do I get to the configuration.php to change the directory?

    • Open configuration.php and change any references to /test to /test2

    • I tried to do what James suggested and it didn't work - nothing - someone suggested the quote below - does anyone know what joomla files I would re-upload - would I FTP them???
That normally happens when there is an error in a PHP file. So the server stops processing it.

I haven't used SMF, but I'm guessing it might overwrite some standard joomla files. You could probably re-upload the standard joomla ones, and it will be ok.

      Thanks,
