Your Choice of Forum Software with RT Templates

Hello,
Basically, since it was not very widespread (hence more secure) and free, I was going with Kunena (formerly Fireboard) until now.
However, especiallly considering that RT themes are eye-candy and slick stuff (that we splash out our hard-earned cash at :shock: ) , the ultra-narrow spectrum of custom styles available for Kunena made me start thinking over my choice.
Considering and constructing a balance between the cost, the safety, the customization/hacks available and the ease of integration with Joomla as well as its compatibility with RT templates, what would you recommend ?

- Great stuff but that's even more expense for me. At least for a starter I may have to go with something else then when I generate some income from my website, I can go that route.

- I'm a Turkish resident and as an officer I could earn 900$ a month and I had to live on that money myself (house rental fee, household, utilities, bills, food etc.). Even on those terms my first subscription to Joomla club was a big dent in my budget and now that I'm unemployed, such extra makes up a financial burden I can't compete for now.
