    SOLVED WAMP - PHP, Apache, MySQL - Version???

    • I'm back into Joomla development after some time away. I'm attempting to use WAMP locally and wanted to know something:

      What are the latest versions of PHP, Apache, MySQL which should be used for 1.5?

      The current version of WAMP (and the associated apps) works with 1.6 (after enabling CURL), but I'm having trouble getting WAMP to work with 1.5.

      Any thoughts??

    • XAMPP may be the way to go...

      At the moment, you are best off using a version (of WAMP of XAMPP) with php 5.2.xx, and not 5.3.

      I am still using XAMPP 1.6.8 and (besides having to enable cURL) have had no issues with any of the J1.5 templates.

      I believe all versions prior to and including 1.7.1 have php version 5.2.xx

    • WAMP works, but I can't use RocketLauncher for 1.5. I installed Joomla and then the 1.5 template. So far, so good. Thanks JEM!
