I have a pretty basic question about Wordpress versus Joomla for site design.
Since I will have multiple users, the simplicity of authoring in Wordpress really appeals to me, but one feature of Joomla is critical: the ability to post particular modules only on certain pages, based off the menu.
In other words, if I want an information box to only appear on Page 1, but not Page 2, it's simple to do in Joomla via the module's settings.
Is it possible to do the same thing with Wordpress, using one of the Rockettheme templates?
Hi, I've used both Joomla and Wordpress a lot. Modules in Joomla are a bit easier, in Wordpress you can do the widgets on individual pages using any of our newer templates that use Gantry. It's called a page override and it's way easier than the old school Wordpress page template method, a few click and some set up and you're on your way.
You could go either direction. After using both for awhile, I think it's best to use what you're most comfortable with in terms of operation. There really isn't anything that can't be accomplished on either platform. Hope that helps.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
