  • RokBox linking to a screencast?

    • I'm having issues getting RokBox to show up with a link to a screencast. Is this possible or do I need to download/upload to my hosting server and link directly from there. Additionally, can you tell me what the best format is to save my videos for use with RokBox?

    • Not sure but I think its because the syntax is incorrect, with Rokbox the syntax has to be in a specific order, because of it relation to html, try using the following, supplement text for image if that's your preference.

      {rokbox title=|your title| text=|your text| size=|800 600|}video/module-7-video-1/module-7-video-1.mp4{/rokbox}

      Maybe better to use my example first (but with your details) and then tinker with it after you know that that works.

      Also notice how my video is in mp4, I believe RT uses mp4 for its tutorials too, I use it because it keeps file size low. Let me know how you get on?

      Not sure what software you have but instead of showing the screen cast copy the film using Camtasia or a similar piece of software and then save as mp4 and run it from your server.

      Have you tried inputting the info as html? Maybe a simpler solution.

    • Sweet!!! That worked. Since I don't have a "/images/thumb.jpg" it's just showing up as the path link. I guess I just need to create thumbs for each tutorial that I want to link? Really, THANKS Lee! You did save me a lot of time!
