I hope you get it figured out, I had to just "live with" a menu layout I didn't really want since that feature wasn't showing up.
On a side note, the numbers you put in there, those are the 2nd level items right? So, even though I might have 20 items in my drop menu, if only say, 6 of those are level 2 and the rest are subs to those (but grouped to be inline with an indent) then I'm just using numbers that equal 6 in my manual entry, like 3, 2, 1 right? I don't have to enter enough numbers to equal all 20 items that are visible do I?

hi again,
in j1.7 i think you will have to use 2 files, for example from momentum, then edit the template references inside the code and replace the existing ones.
../templates/rt_tachyon_j16/html/mod_roknavmenu/themes/gantry-fusion/item.xml
../templates/rt_tachyon_j16/html/mod_roknavmenu/themes/gantry-fusion/layout.php
again, i haven't tested if it works, so keep a backup of the original files.
