HELP! - Embedding a video on an article page... no video controls!

- I'm new to embedding videos into article pages, and am having a bit of trouble.
  
  When you embed a YouTube video - you get the nice frame with the controls to pause / stop / etc...
  
  When you embed a video that is a .fla file on your server - using the "embed media" feature within writting an article.... the video embeds just fine - and autoplays and all that... but I can't find out how to get basic controls for the visitors that are viewing the article, to pause / stop the video, etc...
  
  How can I get the controls added in?

- I can get the .fla videos embedded just fine in articles - but I can't get controls to show up with them.

- It should show the buttons on the bottom as normal.

- It just shows the first image of the video - no buttons

- No - I set it to autoplay in the media content that you can add when writting an article. there isn't any option to turn controls on or off.... they are just automatically off, and I can't do anything about it

- I figured it out. I was embedding flash - when I should have been doing .wmv
