slow load speed of Reflex

Hello,
I recently installed the RocketLauncher version of Reflex and stripped it down to begin customizing for my my client. The loads terrible slow. The site is hosted on a shared linux server at hostgator. The theme is great, but the speed terrible. Any suggestions?

I just checked the site and it seems to load fine, less than 12 seconds in total.
