    phpBB3 ok with JomSocial?

Posted 13 years 10 months ago
    • I have the Tachyon template for Joomla and I use it for JomSocial. Will the phpBB3 work with it?

If members sign in to the community will there info be used on the forum too? I dont want them to have separate logins for s form too so I was not sure if there are settings to integrate?

      thanks!

    • You can bridge to have single login, but avatars won't be shared, nor user profiles, nor will updates appear in Jomsocial activity stream.

For those, try Kunena, which integrates with both Joomla and Jomsocial perfectly (though with less features than you get in phpBB)

    • Thanks for the info.

I will try Kunena then since it seems to integrate better. phpBB3 looks much cleaner though.

    • As Futureguy said, but it's a powerful component and let you integrate with joomla, jomsocial and phpBB named p8pbb from Blogomunity . It costs 49$ per year. I use it and better than Rockettheme's Rokbridge. It can upload avatar, create custom profile field and sync phpBB fields, phpbb profile linking to jomsocial and more . You can go there and get more information about p8pbb. If you have already Kuenua installed and it's no problem that you can convert it to phpBB with p8pbb support.

You need ask to your webhost to install ionCube loaders for PHP.
